Whether you have never made art or need help getting to whatever level is next for you, there is something here.

"I loved the Watercolor Paintings in 20 Minutes a Day. As a therapist I was looking for a "Mindful" activity to participate in during my lunch break. These short instructions were a great way to relax and tap into my creativity. I felt rejuvenated after lunch, ready to tackle the rest of my day! What could be better?"

"I thoroughly enjoyed watching and painting along with Watercolor Painting in 20 Minutes a Day. One of the fifteen videos was created in plein air, northwest of Chicago - beautiful Crystal Lake was named for its pure water and beautiful setting. This delightfully breezy, fun video remind me of the ambient effects of the lakeside conditions on different days. It is accompanied by a variety of other informative videos that inspired my interest and excitement. I heartily recommend this course. And I loved the free pdf’s and extra pastel video. I’m looking forward to Mary’s online pastel course!"

"If you don't already love pastels you will after taking Mary's class. Mary easily explains her approach to the subject work while educating us on the use of pastels. Everyone's style is different and Mary celebrates the uniqueness of each artist and their paintings."

"For the last year I've been learning to create art in pastel. I've been fortunate to study with Mary Telfer; her style combines quiet guidance and critique with gentle humor. It works!"

Hi, I’m Mary!

I've spent much of my life making art, have my MFA in visual art, and have two decades creating communities through teaching art! Very simply, I’m here to bring art to humans, advocate for a better life for non-human animals, and make the world a richer, healthier place through art. If you also like these ideas and want to cultivate these in the world, let’s team up!

Want to relax and unwind with watercolor or pastels? Sign up for one of my courses! Give a course / membership to yourself or someone who needs more art and connection in their life! Questions? Don’t be shy - ask away! I hope to hear from you soon!
